Adding nested sub-criteria to a mapping rule

When defining a mapping rule in the Route Resolver Rules form (on page 1), you can check for multiple conditions to determine the types of containers that the mapping rule applies to. You do this by adding nested sub-criteria to the mapping rule.

For example, you can create sub-criteria to differentiate full containers based on the line operator.

To add nested sub-criteria:

  1. Use the steps described in the Route Resolver Rules form to add criteria. For example, using the above scenario, the first step is to add filter criteria to identify full containers.

The filter criterion appears as an If statement in the filter pane.

  1. Select the filter criterion in the filter pane as shown in the graphic above.

  2. Use the drop-down lists to select another attribute, such as Line Operator, an operator such as is (=), and a value for the selected attribute such as ANL, as shown below:

  1. Click Add Sub-Criterion.

The sub-criterion appears nested within the parent criterion and will apply to all FCL containers with ANL as the line operator.

  1. You can use the above steps to nest additional sub-criteria within sub-criteria to any level of detail.

  2. You can also add criteria to the nested sub-criteria, as shown below.

A sub-criterion is a child to the criterion it is nested under. Deleting a parent criterion deletes all child criteria beneath it.

  1. After you define the nested sub-criteria, you must set the value for each sub-criterion (on page 1) to specify action N4 will take for the containers identified by the selected criterion.
